Thanksgiving day, Thursday November 25, 2010 at the Holyoke KC shows in West Springfield Mass… Burri’s Lofty LadyHawke finished her RE… and with all her titles AKC and other is : ARCHX Burri's Lofty LadyHawke,CD,RE,RLVX3,RL1x2,RL2x2, CGC, CC, TDIAOV, CSL1,CSL3-F. She completed her RE in 3 trials. Hawke is CH Willcare’s Master of the Hunt CD, JX x MacDonald’s Majestic Madison, and now officially retired from AKC rally… Owned, Trained and Loved by Barb Burri.
Birchangreen's Rising Tide MH, co-owned by Nona King and Tara Yohan qualified at the 2010 Master National in Corning , CA this Fall and has already qualified to run in the 2011 Master National in Maryland next year. Tide also placed 2nd ( for the second year in a row) at the Colonial Retrievers Club's O/H Qualifying Stake.
10-10-10 MEADOWMERE’S LEX MH qualified
for the Master National with 13 passes. His
owners David & Nancy Corkum traveled from VT
to Corning, CA. They also
took 4 month old Meadowmere’s
Gunner. The first
week was training at the
site, then the next was the
5
Master tests. Lex passed
the first 4 tests with only
two handles. The last test
was a quad and on the 4th
and last bird he broke.
Needless to say, it was a heart break. But next year the Master
National will be held in Maryland and Lex will be there.
I just wanted to send out a quick
note and picture and let everyone
know that Thorn and I got our UD
yesterday at the Wampanogue
Kennel Club show in Tauton with
a very nice score and a first place
win. Thorn is my first dog to achieve
the title of Utility Dog. I know
that not every dog can achieve
a
UD title, but I knew fairly early on
that if any of my dogs could
do
it, he could. And he has
really worked hard with me all
the way. Showing him in Utility
has been quite the learning
experience for both of us - one
that no one can really prepare you for until you’ve experience
it yourself. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive to both

Then she went on to Qualify in 4/4 Junior Hunt Tests and...... three weeks after finishing her Junior Hunter Title went on to Qualify in her first Senior Hunting Test. Jade is owned, handled, trained and loved by Karen Kennedy (and Dick, although he is not allow to touch her)

Pasta completed her Junior Hunter Saturday July 24th at the Penobscot Hunting Retriever Club Hunt Test. She is now Riverbenz Pasta Primavera JH, WC. She also picked up a bumper leg on Sunday handled by Russ Bennett. This was Russ’ first time running a dog. Way to go Pasta and Russ!! Owner: Pattie Duddy.

Thorn and I got our second Utility leg at the Bullmastiff obedience
trial at the beginning of May with a very nice score and a first place.
I was planning to take the summer off from obedience competitions
(you know, sit by the pool and sip margaritas), but after
he got his second leg, I just couldn’t do that! So, I signed him up
for another show in July. So much for taking the Summer off! I

Weskeag RVF Sincerity "Ceri" [Tameric's Jake x Ridgeview Farm's Generosity CD RN CGC CL1-R] qualifed in Rally Novice B with a score of 93 for her second Rally Novice leg.
At the LRCGB Obedience and Rally trials on March 6th and 7th in Franklin, MA, Ridgeview Farm's Generosity CD RN CGC CL1-R "Genni" [CH Ridgeview Farm's Bear Hugs JH x Ridgeview Farm's W.B. CD JH] qualifed in Open A and placed 4th in the class for her second CDX leg and 1st place Labrador in Class. On Sunday "Cassi" qualified in Advanced A for her 2nd leg and First Place Labrador in Class, and "Ceri" qualifed in Novice B with a score of 99 and First Place in Class and First Place Labrador and her title! Edsall, Steve and Karen Sullivan On Oct 24/25 we took off to Long
Island to again qualify under judges John Biegel, Cynthia
Dunchelmann, Carol White, and Justine Lorentzson for the title of
JH. Missy also qualified back to back Sept 12/13 at the Saco River
Hunting Retriever Club HRC Test. Sue Barrett,the breeder,and I are
very proud of her back to back accomplishments since she is only
15 months old....she sure is a fun dog to handle...Marlene Lendrim
Joel Wolff and Cory got their third qualifying score at the CRDTC
obedience trial on
November 14,
2009, and thus their
AKC Companion
Dog title in the Novice
B class. They
then capped off the
weekend by getting
a “bumper leg” in
the same class on
Sunday as well as
3rd place.

dogs earned their titles within a week of each other. Both are loved
and trained by Beth Teixeira.
SHR Snowden Hill Justa Fairview Illusion, JH, WC “Llew” completed
his AKC Junior Hunting title at the Lab Club of Greater Boston’s
test with a bumper leg to boot. He did a great job and we were very
proud of him. Looking back on this year, Llew passed 12 out of 13
tests that he ran, completing his AKC Junior Hunter, UKC/HRC
Started Hunting Retriever title, and two legs towards his NAHRA Started Retriever title. Llew was bred by Gladys Rogers of Snowden
Hill Labradors.

PRLRC WC/WCI/WCX
tests the previous weekend.

savings in 2010 to work at finishing their titles.

Danbridge Katheryns Emmy Award RN, CD, CGC earned her
Rally Novice title on September 17th at the Pawcatuck River Labrador
Retriever Club Specialty with
a nearly perfect score of 99. She
bumped up to Rally Advanced
the next day earning her 1st leg
in this category. On Halloween,
Emmy received her 1st leg in
Open A at the Bullmastiff Trial
held in Franklin. With more
shows on her agenda, new titles
are definitely in her future for

Chucklebrook Mockingbird at Grampian, bred by Gerrie Owren and Diane Pilbin (Am/Can Ch Aquarius Centercourt Delight, JH,
WC x Chucklebrook Virginia Rail) and owned by Gerrie Owren,
Robin Anderson and Diane Pilbin came out for the first time at the
PCKC, show winning both the sweeps 9-12 puppy bitch class and
the 9-12 puppy bitch class under judges Heather Johnson and Traci
Stintzcum. Mary was handled by Robin and delighted her family,
Diane and Steve Fournier, who watched from outside the ring. Coowner
Diane Pilbin showed Mary in the Winners ring.

OTCH Westwind’s Setting The Pace UDX, OM1
finished her OTCH at the Schenectady Dog Training
Club shows in Ballston Spa, New York on August
8th. Sprint completed all obedience titles in 10
months. Sprint is proudly bred, trained and owned
by Beth Chapman, Westwind Labradors.
My 3-year old Golden Retriever girl, Beau Geste Theophilus’s
Anna, MH, WCX (a.k.a. Annie) earned her Master Hunter on July 19
at the Western New York test. It was one year to the weekend after
she earned her Senior Hunter - and at the same
place. I remain very grateful to LRCGB for help, encouragement,
and example setting (Joey, Rainer,
Margaret, Karen, and others). I really owe a lot to the

At the Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club hunt test, Timber Town Turn Me Loose UD VCD2 MH RE (Kaya) and her team mate Rainer Fuchs qualified for the 2009 Master National.

OTCH Westwind Nite-Sky of Montana UDX12 competed at the
2008 AKC Eukanuba National Championships held in Long Beach
California this past December. Montana finished the first day of competition
in the overall 5th position and was the top Labrador for Saturday
which allowed her to earn the special Labrador medallion.
Montana also ended up 3rd in the sporting group which allowed her
to compete on Sunday. (only the top 4 of each group and 4 wild card
spots make it to Sunday for a total of 32 dogs) On Sunday, Montana
made it to the final four and ended up as the third runner-up in the
over all competition. Montana is proudly owned, bred and handled
by Beth Chapman, Westwind Labradors.

The Nightwind gang had a good couple of weekends in Canada. At the LRC of Quebec Booster on 6/27/08, Nightwind We're Jammin' aka Jammer (owned by Peggy & John Lands) went WD/BOW under Breeder-Judge Patricia Lanctot for 5 points. At the LRC of Quebec Booster on 6/29/08, Jammer went WD under Judge Mark Houston McMillan for 3 points. At the Atlantic LRC Booster on 7/12/08 Jammer went WD/BOW under Judge James Reynolds for 3 points to complete his Canadian Championship. He is now known as Can CH Nightwind We're Jammin'. At the next show that same weekend, in his debut as a Special, Jammer went Best of Breed and Group 4. He finished off the weekend taking another Best of Breed and a Group 1. Go Jammie!! Not one to let her dad take all the spotlight, at just a few days past her 6 months birthday, Nightwind Just Flirtin' aka "Flirt" (co-owned by Eileen Perez and Peggy Lands), went Reserve WB and Best Puppy in Breed at the ALRC Booster. She went on to take Best Puppy in Breed at all of the shows that weekend and picked up one other Reserve WB. She also went WB/BOW/BOS to her dad for her first 3 Canadian points. She showed her heart out in the Sporting Group and took home two Best Puppy in Sporting Group! What a way to start her show career. Good girl Flirt!!

Snowden Hill Mango Crazy JH, RN, WC, CGC, CC (Ch Dickendall Davaron
Gable x Snowden Hill My Friend Irma) earned a Rally Advanced leg at the
Potomac, came in Third in the Hunting Retriever Bitch class handled by Jen
Leitao, and helped her Junior Handler, Sarah Nolan, come in first in their Novice
Senior Class in Junior Showmanship. Mango is owned by Robin Anderson,
Gerrie Owren and Sarah Nolan, and bred by Gladys Rogers.
While in Florida this past winter, Marlene Lendrim’s ‘Jet’ earned her CDX
title. Graewall’s Pretty As A Picture, CDX, JH, WCI (Ch. Wynwood’s Sweetness In
Motion x Graewall’s Cute As A Button) was bred by Patt Dunn, is co-owned by Pat
Dunn and Marlene, and is trained & handled by Marlene.

LRCP show April 11th, 2007, handled by Robin Anderson. Dory turned 9 years old on
December 30, 2006.

Leap of Faith, MH (Risk) x Riverbenz High Hope, MH
(Hope) completed his Master Hunter title at the Labrador
Retriever Club of Greater Boston Spring Hunt test. He is
now officially Riverbenz Way to Go Tristan CD, MH owned
and loved by Joey and Alex Edsall.
Beth Texeria's MacGregor’s Irish Surprise (Jenna) earns High in Trial with a score of 194 at the
LRCPV show May 12, 2007 Novice B Obedience competition
Pic's Come Back Kid CD, JH, WCX (JJ) earned his CD on May 6, 2007 with a 4th place in Acton, ME at the York County Kennel Club of Maine show handled by owner Jean Piccosi.
The Charles River Dog Training Club Trial on March 18, 2007, turned out to be a good venue for LRCGB members. Barb Burri's Celestial Kestrel RA, CGC, CC earned her RA Rally Advanced Title, while Rainer Fuchs's Maggie (UD, MX, MXJ, AXP, AJP, RE) and Timber Town Turn Me Loose "Kaya"
(UD, VCD2, SH, RE) completed their Rally Excellent titles with a 1st and 4th place.
Burri's Lofty LadyHawke, RN, CGC, CC, TDIA has just earned the distinction, TDIA from Therapy Dogs, Therapy Dog Active Volunteer. This is given for recognition of 50 therapy dog visits. Hawke is owned and trained by Barb Burri. Hawke has also been invited to come "speak" at the New Hampshire Library Conference in May. She'll be sharing her experiences as a library reading dog! (Barb will help interpret)
2006
Rainer Fuchs's Maggie finished her UD at the Shrewsbury DTC trial on 12/09/06 with a second place. On November 26 she finished her Rally Advanced title and is now a UD, MX, MXJ, AXP, AJP, RA.
His dog Kaya completed her UD at the New England DTC trial on 12/10/06, finishing in 2nd place right behind Maggie, who got 1st place and a bumper leg. Kaya also earned her Rally Advanced title on November 26. Her official name is now Timber Town Turn Me Loose UD, VCD2, SH, RA.
Woodhull's Roger That earned his Canadian Championship at 16 months this summer, in 3 consecutive shows, with a junior handler (Elizabeth Anger, my niece). My chocolate boy (20 mos. on October 11th) is pointed in the US too! Owner: Abby and Bob Crosby, Sky Farm.
Grampian Raptor Mystique "Merlin" , RN, CGC, CC earned his Conformation Certificate at the Pawcatuck River LRC WC test on 9/16/06, and less than a week later completed his RN at the PRLRC specialty on 9/21/06, at the age of 10 months! Merlin is Snowden Hill’s Mango Crazy, RN, JH x Hollyhill Delby’s Samuel Adam. Merlin and his mom Mango completed their RN's on the same day. Merlin is coowned by Barb Burri and Robin Anderson, and was bred by Robin Anderson.
Jan Johnson and Amy finished their MACH (Master Agility Championship), so Amy is now MACH J Marks Aiming High UD SH. Amy was in the top 10 of all Sporting Dogs for 2005 for MACH points in both AKC standard and jumpers agility. And this summer Amy also tried her paws at USDAA agility and finished her AD title. Amy is the daughter of Jan’s MACH LeeShore JMark’s What A Splash UDX SH and is breeder/owner trained and handled.
Chaos has a CD!! Corbett’s Operation Chaos CD, JH, WCI, CC, CGC was entered in five trials, qualifying in all and placing in four. I am very proud of my girl. Off to OPEN!! Owner: Pattie Duddy.
U-CD HR SR Puddleducks Kyla O'Fairview, SH, CDX, WCX, CGC, TD. I Wearing my Nancy Baker Memorial Duck Call (for spiritual guidance) and being judged by Paul Young (how befitting!) and Cathy Forsyth, Kyla and I passed our 4th Senior Hunter test with style on August 27th at the Penobscot HRC in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. We are very proud of our little Chocolate "angel"(??) and ready to undertake our next "mission NOT-impossible". Owner Cheryl & Dave Palmer.
Surfer, Vikng Surf's Up JH-WC-CC, earned his JH title at 23 months. Surfer earned his JH title on 8-13-06 at the Yankee Waterfowlers Hunting Retriever Club Hunt Test. Surfer earned his title in four consecutive hunt tests. He was bred by Gerrie and John Owren of Viking Labradors. His Dam is Viking Zinka Dew CD-JH-WC "Zinka" and his Sire is Ch. Aquarius Centercourt Delight "Buzz" . He is owned and loved by Melody and Dan Losea.
Peggy Lands' Jarrett earned his CD in three straight trials with two class placements in May. He is now known as Am/Can CH Nightwind Start Your Engines CD, JH.
Peggy Lands' Skye (aka Nightwind Positive Vibration) has had a great July. At the LRC of the Pioneer Valley supported entry, Skye went BOS in Sweeps out of the 9-12 months class under breeder-judge Sharon Fanning (Cloverdale). At the
Pawcatuck River LRC supported entry, Skye won
her 9-12 mos sweeps class under breeder-judge
Susan Lazarchick (Weymouth). She also won her
regular class and went on to take Reserve
Winner's Bitch to the major.

Rockefeller, finished his championship at
the Wampanoag K C . Sire is CH Aquarius
Centercourt Delight Dam CH Ocean Spray Margo.
Ocean Spray Chantilly Lace is off and
running, receiving her first agility title,
NAP, on July 9th.
OTCH Westwind Nite-Sky of Montana
UDX3, TDIA owned by Beth Chapman,
competed on July 14-16th at the Vermont
Cluster in Essex Junction, Vermont. Montana
went HIT and HC on Friday with a perfect 200
out of the Utility class. On Saturday Montana
went HIT and HC again with a 200 in each class
for a perfect high combined score of 400. This is
the first time it has ever been done in New
England. It has only been done two or three
other times in the history of AKC. Montana has
also been invited to compete at the National
Obedience Invitational to be held this December
in Long Beach CA.
Timber Town Turn Me Loose VCD2, JH finished her Open Agility Jumpers title at the Providence Kennel Club trial with a first place. The OAJ was also the last missing requirement for the Versatile Companion Dog 2 title, which recognizes advanced performance in Obedience, Agility and Tracking. According to AKC statistics, together with Ellen Brinker’s Caper, Kaya is now one of only two Labs in New England with a VCD2 title. Owner Rainer Fuchs.

Snowden Hill Mango Crazy, CGC (CH Dickendall Davaron Gable x Snowden Hill My Friend Irma) bred by Gladys W. Rogers and owned by Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren went WB/BOS in Warwick under judge Roy Cuneo on April 16, 2006 at the Rhode Island Kennel Club show. Mango went on to earn her second leg towards her JH title at the LRCGB's Spring Hunt Test. Handled by Gerrie Owren and judged by Donna L. Williams and Debi Smith with Ernest Smith apprentice, we're very proud of our talented and beautiful girl, Mango.
Congratulations to Sealcove's Bold N Luscious, JH, WCI, CGC. Not only did Emily receive her 1st leg toward her novice rally obedience title at LRCP, but also took a 3rd place in her class. Owned by Pam Nolin-Shaw and Scott Shaw.
Emily would also like to congratulate her mother, CH Sealcove's Mudluscious on her 4th place she took in the 7-9yr veteran bitch class at LRCP, the largest of the veterans classes. Go Annie!!
Majestx George of Bunkerhill earned a utility title in obedience in Springfield on Saturday, April 22nd in the Utility B class with a score of 193 and Highest Scoring Labrador Retriever in Utility B and also a bumper leg on Sunday, April 23rd with a score of 194. Owned by Susan Niewiera.
