"Merlin" ARCHX Grampian Raptor Mystique,CD, RE,RL3,RL1X,RL2X,CTL-1, TDI, CGC, CC (Ch Hollyhills Delby’s Samuel Adams WC, CGC x Ch Snowden Hill Mango Crazy, JH, RA, WC, CGC. CC) earned his CD on November 1, 2009 at the Burlington Obedience Training Club Trial in Williston Vermont.  Then he earned his NJP at the LEAP agility trial in Springfield 11/21/09.Merlin was bred by Robin Anderson and is owned, loved, and trained by Barb Burri.

Highmeadows’ Miss Liberty Bell JH WC CC CGC. Oct 3rd Missy earned her WC at the PRLRC Test under Scott Shaw..she also qualified for her CC Sept 18/20 Missy went to the LRCGB Hunt Test and earned two legs twd her JH under judges Linda Marchica, Joey Edsall, Steve and Karen Sullivan On Oct 24/25 we took off to Long Island to again qualify under judges John Biegel, Cynthia Dunchelmann, Carol White, and Justine Lorentzson for the title of JH. Missy also qualified back to back Sept 12/13 at the Saco River Hunting Retriever Club HRC Test. Sue Barrett,the breeder,and I are very proud of her back to back accomplishments since she is only 15 months old....she sure is a fun dog to handle...Marlene Lendrim

Joel Wolff and Cory got their third qualifying score at the CRDTC obedience trial on November 14, 2009, and thus their AKC Companion Dog title in the Novice B class. They then capped off the weekend by getting a “bumper leg” in the same class on Sunday as well as 3rd place. So, to recap: Joel and Cory did 7 trials over the last 6 weeks , achieved 2 new AKC titles (Rally Advanced and Companion Dog) and received 5 placements in the process. So Cory is now: Grampian Hickory’s Crimson H2O Dragon, CD, RA. Cory was bred by Gerrie Owren and Robin Anderson (Ch Liddle Leaping Leo x U-Ch/Am CH Viking Hil’Die Tanzbarin, RN, JH, WCX, CGC, CC)

Wilcare's Princess MacGregor CDX,NA,CGC,UD earned her CGC,Novice Agility and her UD. MacGregor’s Irish Surprise CDX earned her CDX. Both dogs earned their titles within a week of each other. Both are loved and trained by Beth Teixeira.

SHR Snowden Hill Justa Fairview Illusion, JH, WC “Llew” completed his AKC Junior Hunting title at the Lab Club of Greater Boston’s test with a bumper leg to boot. He did a great job and we were very proud of him. Looking back on this year, Llew passed 12 out of 13 tests that he ran, completing his AKC Junior Hunter, UKC/HRC Started Hunting Retriever title, and two legs towards his NAHRA Started Retriever title. Llew was bred by Gladys Rogers of Snowden Hill Labradors.

Gerrie Owren and Robin Anderson are very proud of their three girls this fall. After seven months of hard training, Gerrie took U-Ch/Am Ch Viking Hil’Die Tanzbarin, JH, RN, WCX, CGC, CC (Hildi), Snowden Hill Miss DaisyMae, JH, RN, WCX, CGC, CC (DaisyMae), and Grampian Bedizened Viking, JH, RN, WCX, CGC, CC (Dazzle) to Long Island for back to back Senior hunt tests. All three girls passed both days, returning with six Senior rosettes. This was after all three girls passed their WCX at the PRLRC WC/WCI/WCX tests the previous weekend. Gerrie and Robin are looking forward to a litter of puppies out of Dazzle and Ch Lobuff Wizard of Oz in January with training to resume at the turn of daylight savings in 2010 to work at finishing their titles.

Grampian Tiki Torch WC earned her WC at the PRLRC October tests. Tiki was bred by Gerrie Owren and Robin Anderson (Ch Hyspire Shahli Hotter Than Blazes x Grampian Bedizened Viking). Also earning her WC was Grampian Liddle Ptychozoon WC. Gecko is out of Hildi by Ch Liddle Leaping Leo. And last but not least earning her WC, handled by Robin, bred and owned by Gerrie Owren and Diane Pilbin was Chucklebrook Pati-O Furniture WC. Barely six months old, Pati-O had a wonderful time at the test. (Ch Sureshot’s Baloo x Chucklebrook Virginia Rail)

Grampian Lil’ Puckwudgie KaBoom, Can WC earned back to back Canadian Working Certificates in October handled by Sharon Luckhart (Highcaliber Labradors). KaBoom went on to win a Best in Sweeps at the Delaware Ohio Kennel Club under judge Barbara Holl, also handled by Sharon. KaBoom earned five Championship points while in Canada and will go back to finish her title in the spring. KaBoom was bred and is owned and trained by Gerrie Owren and Robin Anderson. Danbridge Katheryns Emmy Award RN, CD, CGC earned her Rally Novice title on September 17th at the Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club Specialty with a nearly perfect score of 99. She bumped up to Rally Advanced the next day earning her 1st leg in this category. On Halloween, Emmy received her 1st leg in Open A at the Bullmastiff Trial held in Franklin. With more shows on her agenda, new titles are definitely in her future for 2010. Emmy is owned, loved and pampered by Shirley Cardello.

Chucklebrook Mockingbird at Grampian, bred by Gerrie Owren and Diane Pilbin (Am/Can Ch Aquarius Centercourt Delight, JH, WC x Chucklebrook Virginia Rail) and owned by Gerrie Owren, Robin Anderson and Diane Pilbin came out for the first time at the PCKC, show winning both the sweeps 9-12 puppy bitch class and the 9-12 puppy bitch class under judges Heather Johnson and Traci Stintzcum. Mary was handled by Robin and delighted her family, Diane and Steve Fournier, who watched from outside the ring. Coowner Diane Pilbin showed Mary in the Winners ring.

Grampian Tiki Torch, (Ch Shahli Hyspire Hotter Than Blazes x Grampian Bedizened Viking, JH, RN, WCI, CGC, CC) owned& bred by Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren took a Reserve WB and Best Puppy placement from the 9-12 puppy classes at the shows in Wrentham in June 2009. Tiki, handled by Junior Julia Sterrett also took a Puppy Sporting Group II. Also taking a Best Puppy award from the 6-9 classes in Wrentham was Aquarius Caribe at Grampian (BISS Erinhill’s Guinness Stout x Aquarius Curious Georgie) bred by Kathy Sneider DVM & Julie MacKinnon. Rhumba was handled in the ring by Junior Handler Julia Sterrett, and is co-owned by Kathy Sneider, Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren. Grampian Bedizened Viking, JH, RN, WCI, CGC, CC, owned & bred by Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren won the Am Bred class at the PCKC show on July 25th. Dazzle recently won the 2009 LRCGB Triple Crown, handled by Gerrie Owren. Dazzle is working towards Senior Hunt tests with her co-owner/handler, Gerrie.

U-Ch Grampian Lola Tortola Viking, JH, RN, WC, CGC, CC, owned by Robin Anderson and Gerrie Owren & Junior Handler Julia Sterrett earned her Junior Handler a fourth place in a large Open Intermediate Class at the Providence County Kennel Club Show on July 25th 2009. Lola came in second to her littermate Dazzle in the Triple crown and the annual WC/WCI/WCX test, and then went WB/BOW/BOS twice in the same weekend in North Carolina under judges Gloria Geringer and Judy A Harrington.

OTCH Westwind’s Setting The Pace UDX, OM1 finished her OTCH at the Schenectady Dog Training Club shows in Ballston Spa, New York on August 8th. Sprint completed all obedience titles in 10 months. Sprint is proudly bred, trained and owned by Beth Chapman, Westwind Labradors.

My 3-year old Golden Retriever girl, Beau Geste Theophilus’s Anna, MH, WCX (a.k.a. Annie) earned her Master Hunter on July 19 at the Western New York test. It was one year to the weekend after she earned her Senior Hunter - and at the same place. I remain very grateful to LRCGB for help, encouragement, and example setting (Joey, Rainer, Margaret, Karen, and others). I really owe a lot to the club. This title would not have happened without the field group. ~ Marsha Wilcox

On July 3, 2009 "Hawke" Burri's Lofty LadyHawke, RA, TDIAOV,RL-2,CSL-1, CC, CGC (CH Wilcare's Master of the Hunt CD JH X MacDonald's Majestic Madison) earned her Rally Advanced title at the Kenilworth Kennel Club Trial in West Springfield, MA.  Hawke is owned, trained and loved by Barb Burri.

At the Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club hunt test, Timber Town Turn Me Loose UD VCD2 MH RE (Kaya) and her team mate Rainer Fuchs qualified for the 2009 Master National.

Danbridge Charlie Girl (Ch. Danbridge Henry J X Wits’end Origins Comedy Star) took the 9-12 Black Sweepstakes class (of 30 entries) at the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac under Judge Linda Schiele. Charlie is owned and bred-by Marilyn and Ken Meewes.

Danbridge American Girl - aka Dolly - (Trinity’s Titus X Danbridge Pin Up Girl) took a 4th in the 6-9 Yellow Sweeps class (of 24) at the LRCP under Judge Linda Schiele. Dolly is owned and bred by Marilyn and Ken Meewes.

Danbridge Cover Girl -aka Ruby - (Trinity’s Titus X Danbridge Pin-Up Girl) took a 2nd in 6-9 Sweeps at the New England Sporting Group Assoc. under Judge Kellie Collins. Ruby is owned by Brian Hawkins and Marilyn Meewes.

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO 4/30 - 5/3 FCI INTERNATIONAL DOG SHOWS (A chance to win 4 Bench Titles). Margaret Mitchell’s Labrador Retriever “Chummy” flew out of Boston with Handler Sue Burrell and came back home with his PR CH. He went BOB over Entry of 15 and Sporting Group II over 23. He received an Excellent from Judges all 4 Shows and picked up 2 legs each on a Latin AM - Pan AM and International Championship. Call me: CAN.BER.PR.CH.MEADOWMERE’S LETS GET CHUMMY WC

MONCTON, NB CANADA 5/2-3-09 BPISS CAN CH. MEADOWMERE’S NORWIND OOH LA LA took back to back BOB and sporting group II. “Chick” is owned by Claude Tremblay and Margaret Mitchell. In April Issue of Canine Revue she is the # 2 Labrador Retriever in Canada right now.

Ch Mayfair Verbena, SH earned her Senior title on Long Island on May 24, 2009. Bred by Karen Pandolfi (Mayfair) and co-owned with Julie Jussaume (Maritime), Bena was trained and handled by Paul Bothelo of Gunning Island Retrievers.

Grampian Lil’ Puckwudgie KaBoom (Ch Hyspire Shahli Hotter N’ Blazes x Grampian Bedizened Viking, RN, JH, WCI, CGC, CC) had a great spring at the shows. She was awarded Reserve WB at the show held at the Twin Rivers Casino under judge Frank Washabaugh from the 9-12 puppt class. A couple of weeks later she won the 9- 12 puppy bitch class at the LRCPV, plus got two sweepstakes placements & made the cut in the 9-12 puppy class the next day.

KaBoom’s sister, Grampian Tiki Torch, auntie U-Ch Grampian Lola Tortola Viking, RN, JH and the newest Grampian girl, chocolate Aquarius Caribe at Grampian (Ch Erinhill’s Guinness Stout x Aquarius Curious Georgie) all made the cut in both sweeps and their puppy/Open classes at the same specialty both days. KaBoom, Tiki and Lola are all bred, owned and loved by Gerrie Owren and Robin Anderson. Rhumba was bred by Kathy Sneider, VMD & Julie MacKinnon and owned by Gerrie, Robin and Kathy.

U-Ch Grampian Lola Tortola Viking RN, JH, WC, CGC, CC (Ch Hollyhills Delby’s Samuel Adams WC, CGC x Ch Snowden Hill Mango Crazy, JH, RA, WC, CGC. CC) was WB in Freehold, NJ on May 22nd.

At the LRCPV specialty, AKC/U-Ch Viking Hil’Die Tanzbarin RN, JH, WCI, CGC, CC earned a placement in the Hunting Retriever Bitch class, plus she helped her Junior Handler win the Best Junior in Show award. Zach Orcutt and Hildi had a great time at the show! Hildi was bred by Gerrie Owren (Am/Can Ch Aquarius Centercourt Delight, JH, WC x Viking Zinka Dew, JH, CD, WCI, CGC, CC) and is owned and loved by Gerrie, Robin Anderson and Zach Orcutt.

Marion Amidon’s Rosie (Moosehead’s Prairie Rose) titled for Master Hunter at our Spring Hunt
Test. It was perfect. Rosie brought back the ducks, Marion managed to not fall down and it was our club test. Rosie is a team player and wonderful to live with and work with.

Mayfair Sylvio at Tameric was WD at the LRCPV Specialty under Finnish judge Kirsi L-Tweedledum. This is Sylvio’s second major. He is owned by Tammy Farrington and Eric Benzinger, and was bred by Karen K Pandolfi and Julie Jussaume.

Ch Mayfair Verbena JH earned her 3rd Senior Hunter leg at the LRCGB’s Spring Hunt Test. Bena is owned and loved by Julie Jussaume and Karen K Pandolfi —bred by Karen K Pandolfi.

Karen Kennedy came back from the Syracuse NY Dog Shows with GREAT news........ Cinder, is now Pleasant Pine's Making a Mark UD, SH, Can CD, WCX, Can WC, CC, CGC finishing her Utility title with a placement and a bumper leg........ She Q'd 2 out of 4 shows....... Mattie, is now Pleasant Pine's A Bit of Mischief CDX, SH, WCX, Can WC, CC, CGC finishing her Companion Dog Excellent with a placement and a bumper leg...... She Q'd 3 out of 4 shows

AKC/U-Ch Viking Hil’Die Tanzbarin, JH, RN, WCI, CGC, CC became an AKC Champion on February 21, 2009 handled by Katherine Mines. Hildi finished with three majors in less than two months of showing. Bred by Gerrie Owren (Ch Aquarius Centercourt Delight, JH, WC x Viking Zinka Dew, CD, JH, RN, CGC, CC), owned by Gerrie and Robin Anderson.

2/14/09 Halifax,NS Canada. BPISS CAN.CH. Meadowmere's Norwind Ooh La La goes BOB - Sporting Group II over 8 Specials.One the #1 male Lab for 2 yrs, and #2 Male lab in Canada. “Chick” is the 11 month old female Mike Woods gave BPISS and Reserve Winers bitch at the Aug. ALRC Speciality. His Critique was “Very nice yellow younster with lovely outline, short coupled, and good spring of ribs, pretty head with good muzzle and proper pigment. Has lots of potential.” Chick is owned by Claude Tremblay and Margaret Mitchell.
